Spring Makes My Fever Right

This is exciting.  I got a blog award!  This award was passed on to me by Catherine, at A Thousand Clapping Hands, which is such an interesting and wonderful blog done by an interesting and wonderful person.

"This award acknowledges the values that every blogger displays in their efforts to transmit cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values with each message they write. Awards like this have been created with the intention of promoting community among Bloggers. It's a way to show appreciation and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web."

Thank you again. Since I am still fairly new I will hold onto this award for a while until I’m better acquainted with other blogs and I can pass it on. But I do have some in mind so hopefully it won’t be too long.

Now onto the subject of Spring.  Finally!  On the actual first day of spring we here in NYC got some snow. Figures. But finally it’s starting to get more and more realistic that spring is right around the corner. It really is a wonderful time of year. A great sense of renewal washes over me as the last few days of winter start to fade away. I get really excited about things like the cherry blossoms at the BBG, the smell of grass and outdoor seating for day drinking at places like The Frying Pan or Juliette. I was actually in a bathing suit outside yesterday and no I'm not a late season polar bear wannabe! (I will leave the reason for another day) Anyway I wanted to post some pictures that just make me feel happy and springy and I’ve got nothing else. I’m kidding! But enjoy these and I hope they make you smile and get more and more excited for beautiful weather and the feeling of rebirth that spring brings.

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain
