I've Missed You So...

Wow. Life has been hectic lately. I'm working on a TV show and putting in long hours. Haven't had time to play in blogland and it's pretty depressing! I have a laundry list of things to write about but today's post are just some random thoughts that have been festering inside my brain.

**
First I would like to post this lovely email entitled "My Morning" that I got the other day from my lovely mother who, if I don't say so myself, got showered in Mothers Day fun stuff:

I woke up early, left on time, train wasn't to crowded, got to 34th Street around 7:10AM, walked down 34th to 7th and decided to get a cup of coffee at McDonalds (LET ME – THE BLOGGER – INTERUPT FOR A SECOND…I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS WOMAN DRINK OR EAT MCDONALDS ANYTHING MY ENTIRE EXISTENCE ON EARTH. SHE IS LEADING A DOUBLE LIFE) since, I haven't had a cup in a year or so, I get my cup walk to the corner of 33rd and 7th and proceed to cross the street, half way across I noticed a guy standing near the train station by the bank
swinging a BIG KNIFE around and looking in my direction. At this point I turn to my left in the middle of 7th Avenue
and walk straight down until I reach Madison SQ…on to the sidewalk…slinked past Borders down the side on to 33rd Street again and headed directly to the security booth to inform the guard he should call a cop. Mind you
not one cop in the street today. I crossed the street and headed into my building and so goes my NY morning!

My mom is pretty funny. My favorite line of all time came from the guard. “OH MY GOD!!! WHERE?!?!?!”

Margaritas and allergy medicine do not mix well. We rented Benjamin Button on Saturday. I must have fallen asleep at some point in the middle and when I woke up I was super disoriented. I didn't realize I had fallen asleep and that the movie was over and for a brief moment wondered why (and this is because I woke up and the TV was on and I was in a total fog) but I wondered why Dave Chappelle was in the movie dressed as Rick James. I was really confused.

This is a very good documentary.

The flowers are all near bloom in the garden. It’s borderline magical. I can’t wait! We went to a nursery but that’s all I can say. Mom – I know you are reading this and I’m not gonna spill what we bought until you see it! But in the mean time…these were so colorful I had to take a picture.

I’ve decided that the song I hate the most in the entire musical world is “That Smell” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I don’t mean to offend anyone but seriously – I could barely write it.

And if I knew how to work Photoshop I would place that sign over the album that contains that song. I do like to sing Free Bird though.

I’ll have much more to write later in the week! Hurry up Friday!!!!

Also - I love that your mom is leading a double life with McDonalds coffee - do you think it was a McCafe drink?

  3. haven't had a cup in a year or so - And her first cup is from McDonald's? That is funny!

    B. Button - you might have fallen asleep even without the medicine and alcohol. Maybe not, though. Beautiful film.

Never heard that song by LS. Maybe now I never will.
